Less invoice entry in Regla. More time for what matters.

Bella is an AI assistant for your bookkeeper. She reads your vendor invoices, prepares the coding line by line across accounts, VAT and item numbers, routes invoices to the right approvers, and posts each invoice to Regla once your bookkeeper confirms it.

    The problem

Regla works well. Manual invoice entry is what slows you down.

Your team already relies on Regla to run the books. But every vendor invoice still means details to type in, accounts to choose and amounts to check. And invoice approval often happens over email, by phone or on paper, outside the accounting system.

    01

    Too much manual entry

Even for e-invoices, a lot of data still has to be typed in and a lot of choices made. Hours a day go into data entry instead of financial work.

    02

    Complicated coding

One invoice can carry lines for different accounts, VAT treatments and item numbers, some going to inventory and others straight to expenses.

    03

    Approvals all over the place

When an invoice needs approval, it goes out by email and waits. Nobody can see where it is, and the due date gets closer in the meantime.

    04

    Less time for oversight

The people who know your finances best spend the day entering transactions and chasing approvals instead of reviewing them.

Bella takes on that workload, and Regla stays exactly where it is.

    What changes

An assistant for your bookkeeper, not another system to manage.

Bella does the preparation. Your bookkeeper reviews the details that matter.

    Far less typing

Bella reads every vendor invoice, whether it arrives as an e-invoice, a PDF, a scanned invoice or a photo, and prepares a complete posting. Your bookkeeper reviews a suggestion instead of starting from a blank entry.

Complex invoices, coded line by line

Invoices often belong to more than one expense account. Bella splits invoices across accounts and VAT treatments, and across dimensions where you use them, even inside a single invoice line. Your team checks and corrects before anything is posted.

    Inventory in Regla

Bella posts to item numbers in Regla, whether they are stock items or service items, so purchases land correctly in your inventory as soon as the invoice is entered.

    Approvals in Bella

Bella has a built-in approval system. Tell Bella how to choose approvers, based on vendor, account, dimension or anything else that matters to you. Approvers approve in Bella, also from their phone, and the invoice doesn't go to Regla until it has been approved.

    Experience goes to higher-value work

Your bookkeeper knows your vendors, your business and your spending patterns. With less data entry, that knowledge goes into review, cost analysis and better-informed decisions.

    Keep Regla as it is

No new accounting system, no data migration and no second ledger. Bella connects to Regla through Regla's web services, and your invoices and their attachments stay in Regla.

    How it works

From vendor invoice to confirmed entry in Regla

Bella does the repetitive preparation. Your team stays responsible for what gets recorded.

Your bookkeeper checks the suggestions, corrects what needs correcting, and confirms or rejects each one. Approvers approve the invoices in Bella, also from their phone in the Bella app. When Bella is unsure about her suggestions, she flags the invoice for review. She learns from every correction.
    Step 04
    Bella sends to Regla
Confirmed invoices are entered into a journal in Regla in batches, with their attachments, and Bella checks that everything arrived. Nothing goes into Regla unless your team has confirmed it, and Bella records who approved and who confirmed each invoice.

    Who it's for

Built for the invoices that make bookkeeping complicated

Bella is especially valuable when vendor invoices need complex splits across expense accounts, affect inventory or need approval.

    Retail and wholesale

Purchase invoices are often long, with dozens of item numbers. Bella posts each line to the right item number so your inventory stays accurate, and separates purchased services and freight from the goods.

    Fleet and vehicle rental

Repairs, parts, servicing and maintenance create a steady flow of invoices. Bella codes each cost to the right account, and to the right vehicle where you track that with dimensions.

    Property companies and facilities

Maintenance and contractor invoices need approval from whoever is responsible for the property. Bella sends each invoice to the right approver and posts it to Regla once it has been approved.

How ÞG Verk cut daily invoice entry from three hours to one

ÞG Verk is a construction company with about 140 employees, in a group of 27 companies. Every invoice is allocated to departments, projects and dimensions. “Almost every single line had to be entered or copied from the invoices,” says Íris Dögg Jónsdóttir in accounting.

Bella now reads their vendor invoices, splits them into the right entries and suggests a complete posting with accounts, dimensions, references, approvers and descriptions. Once the bookkeeper confirms a suggestion, the invoice goes to the accounting system. Invoices reach approval and payment sooner, too.
